ABOUT
CCM needed a partner to develop a new interactive touchscreen system as part of a new wing of the museum that would be a modernized version of a photobooth to share their experiences at the museum with friends and family.
Programmatic ability to dynamically assemble video that could be captured, re-encoded, optimized to play on the web. Adherence to COPPA Child internet safety laws that included automated and review by CCM staff prior to release. Software and human review system. Working within the Client’s defined budget determined prior to engagement (and discovery phase).
Method Engine development team reviewed UX process and flow, and developed unique code along with integrated third-party components to fulfill goals with a high degree of stability while working within budget. Method Engine and CCM reviewed legal requirements needed to ensure safety of children participating with Story Hub. Method Engine developed a platform that included both automated safeguards and human review process prior to distribution of video assets.
Number of users… 80-100 users per day (3000 videos per month) generated on an ongoing basis. Launched in autumn 2016, Story Hub continues to be high-traffic attraction for CCM visitors.
Method Engine created an interactive exhibit at the museum that allowed greater exposure of CCM’s exhibits through word-of-mouth testimonials that visitors were proud to send to their friends and family that would encourage and entice other individuals to visit/return to the museum to experience the exhibits themselves.
