Internet2 provides high-speed networking and tailored solutions for research and education (R&E) industry. The company offers faster data transfer, specialized applications, and customized cloud, network, and security services designed to save money and manage risk.

Method Engine was tasked with creating an interactive infrastructure topology map to clearly illustrate and represent the network and value Internet2 provides. The map serves as the foundation for the Internet2 Network Story, showcasing its infrastructure span and reach before diving into services. It addresses key challenges, such as explaining Internet2’s offerings and value. 

The map was built using the open-source QGIS platform, with specific customization to meet requirements and goals.
