BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Contract, Chicago Area
The Business Development Lead reports to the Founder & Managing Partner and is responsible for helping to develop the methodology for researching, identifying, and connecting with potential business opportunities and prospective clients. They will help develop new marketing initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities. This person connects potential clients with an engagement strategy that is unique to Method Engine.

Responsibilities
- Help modify and execute Method Engine’s growth plan with the Founder, Managing Partner and Client Engagement Lead.
- Drive the pitch process, including helping cultivate a strategy to win, casting, and presentation/pitch approaches.
- Lead RFI/RFP responses as the main point of contact throughout the process, including development, implementation, and vetting standards.
- Develop and maintain an extensive pipeline of qualified prospects in priority categories.
- Work to build prospects/contacts through existing clients and through the Client Engagement group. Seek out and support opportunities for organic growth.
- Work with the team to help build and manage the agency’s marketing and business development materials, as well as updating the internal resource library including case studies.
- Manage internal teams during the pitch process.
- Develop relationships with agency search consultants.
- Understand the business and marketing challenges of key prospects.
- Utilize, update and report progress from the CRM.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of client service experience preferred in an agency environment with proven business development.
- Consistent track record and demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and innovative, while understanding client needs and the capabilities of Method Engine’s business processes and technologies.
- A dedication to high-quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all – clients, team members, peers, managers, etc.
- Strong presenter and communicator, able to develop powerful presentations, and articulate in a confident manner.
- Skills in sophisticated problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, and decision making.
- Self-starter, capable of setting goals and reporting progress against them.
- Ability to maintain self-motivation and to work independently in team environments.
COPYWRITER / CONTENT CREATOR
Employment Type: Part-time, Freelance/Contract, Off-site
Experience: Mid to Senior level
We are looking for a mid to senior level writer / content creator to join our digital marketing team. This role would include social media, blogs, emails, and website copy. Candidates must be strong in writing and idea generation.
You will use your content development and storytelling expertise to strategize, plan, and create fresh and compelling media content. You will work hand-in-hand with our strategy, design, and digital teams to strengthen client brands and grow target audiences.

Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with best practices, current technologies, and trends in social media and email marketing, emphasizing lead generation
- Create and oversee media calendar(s) for social media, blogs, and/or email campaigns as needed
- Communicate with internal marketing team and the client as needed
- Strategize, create, and upload content to media platforms
- Copywriting & coordination of visual assets
- Interact with audience responses to posts
- Analyze and interpret traffic data
- Excellent time management skills and communication skills
- Ideally experience with marketing both services and products
Qualifications
- 2+ years of copywriting and social media experience in marketing, advertising, or related field
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through full lifecycle
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Strong communication skills
