Touchscreen System Empowers Patients To Better Understand Treatment Options

Ingalls Health System opened The Patient Education & Innovation Center at their Family Care Center as part of an on-going campaign to support the Advanced Orthopedic Institute (AOI). A new educational touchscreen system designed and developed by Method Engine is a big part of the success of the Center.

The touchscreen system enables patients to learn more about all of the latest treatment options available at the AOI and read detailed bios about each of the AOI physicians and their group specialties.

The system includes video interviews with physicians, educational content, procedure animations, and patient case studies and success stories.

The goal of the system is to help patients achieve a level of comfort with their course of treatment, manage expectations about the procedure as well as the anticipated outcome, and schedule appointments with AOI physicians. Since the system was implemented, patient inquiries and satisfaction have increased significantly.
